S5520HC and e5620

Hello,

i have a S5520SC board with Xeon E5620 and 8 gig ram. When i turn power on en puch on switch there is no screen output from the graphics card.

I need to update a firemware? How if I have only 2 processors e5620?

If you machine doesnt boots up, remove all the graphics card,RAm and boot the machine without RAM. you should get a beep sound.

Then add 1 RAM and boot the machine..

BTW,

All the procedures to update the BIOS, f/w are scripted in release notes itself..

please follow the instructions and let me know if you still have issues.

thanx for Your reply. I try to remove all and boot with one single cpu and with both two BUT NOTHING!!!!

I think there is a PROCESSOR INCOMPATIBILITY with the BIOS.

The bios dont see my processor, I need to find a compatible processor (55xx) and update the bios with this,

after the update i try to boot with my processors.....

The real difficult is to find a Intel 55xx.....

BTW, in your previous post you said you have E5620.

E5620 is supported in S5520HC..

Yes I have 2 x Intel e5620, now I 've buy 1 x Intel e5520 ONLY to upgrade my board.

Is You need a new processor e5520 i sell it at 100 euros.
