We purshaed this motherboard along with a Norco RPC-470 Case. We are having trouble finding a compatible power supply that has both of the 8 pin connectors and the 4 pin AUX connector. If you have any ideas please post them here. Thanks.

It's highly recommended that you choose a chassis from the http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/s5520sc/sb/CS-030490.htm Tested chassis list. Power supplies are tested together with chassis. If you want to use a different power supply, make sure it meets the requirements documented in the http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/s5520sc/sb/CS-030231.htm TPS.

Thanks so much for your reply. I scanned through the document and saw quite a bit of troubleshooting facts in here but not so much about power supply specifications. What i am looking for is more of a reccomendation of a good third party power supply that will work for my project. when we started buying parts it did not even cross our mind that this would become a problem. Any information you can give very welcomed.

Section 9.3 of the http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/s5520sc/sb/e39530010_s5520sc_tps_r1_7.pdf Technical Product Specification provides the power requirements for the workstation board. The other long shot would be to look at the Intel chassis power supply & base it off from that data. The http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/s5520sc/sb/e81822002_sc5650scws_tps_r1_2.pdf Technical Product Specification has all the details.

Goodluck
