Server Board s5400sf RAID controler driver - vmware

Hello ppl,

I've been searching for a solution to install vmware on a server with a s5400sf board, but i need to use RAID1

I've searched everywhere and didn't found any driver for vmware, is this true? anyone knows where can it be found.

On intel download site there are Win / linux drivers, but i can't find any vmware....certain there must be an explanation, come on...vmware is very used

Anyone has any experience with this server board s5400sf with RAID1 and vmware?

The onboard ESRT2 RAID doesn't support VMware. If you want RAID 1, install a hardware RAID controller. Check http://www.vmware.com/go/hcl www.vmware.com/go/hcl for supported controllers.

Thanks for the quick answer, so there's no way to have RAID 1 (software) with VMware on this board?

It's kinda of hard to believe, don't be mad, but there's drivers for win / linux, and nothing for vmware?

VMware is not actually validated on S5400SF.
