I am upgrading the firmware on a S5000PSL board using the latest "Firmware Update Package for DOS".
I have done the BIOS and BMC steps and now have a problem at the last step with FRUSDR.
I get the following error:
"Error, failed to read FRU string.
Warning, in reading from EEPROM device, the FRU header area is different from the FRU file you are trying to program.
Note: only the FRU file data is programmed. You will need to rerun the package in order to modify any of the FRU field information. Would you like to program the file data over the existing FRU data? Yes or No?"
Would you say Yes or No?

Hello,
We would like to inform you that the board you are looking support for is end of interactive support (EOIS) so we do not longer offer assistance for it only through our website:
http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/server/s5000psl Support for the Intel® Server Board S5000PSL Family
To answer your inquiry, FRU stands for "field replaceable unit". Select yes to program the file data over the existing FRU data.
