Server board Intel S5520HC very slow works with software RAID on Linux

Hi ! Guys.

I have a problem, I have a server board S5520HC

BIOS + firmware are the latest. But when I trying to setup CENTOS Linux

with software RAID it very slowly works. Can any help me ?

Thanks, I know that support is discontinued.

But, what me to do, I have 10 servers with this board, that have never been used

and with all of them the same problem.

We apologized for the inconvenience on this matter. If the boards are within the 3 year warranty period we can replace them for you but there is no technical assistance we can offer from our side.

To answer your question, if the board is within warranty you will need to cover the shipping costs to send the board to Intel. To validate the warranty please let us know the PBA and serial number located on a white sticker on the board:

Which RAID do you want? In case you want RAID 0, 1, 5 or 10 you could use the RAID controller on the board. I never have done this myself but i think this is helpful:

Off topic:

If you need help with computers it is always good to write which system you have. A good linux command that gives you a lot of usefull and structured data (without ip- and mac address) is 'inxi -F'.
