I have a server board S1200BTL, running Window 2008 R2. I'm trying to get SNMP working. I've installed the latest subagent utility and ensured the Windows SNMP service has been started. SNMP testers are coming back with no response at all. I've read through the whitepaper for the subagent, but it's not really clear as to which ports are used or if any further configuration other than default is necessary.
I've opened ports 161 and 162 in the Windows firewall, but since I'm doing the testing from the server itself, that shouldn't matter.
Has anyone had any experience with SNMP on Intel boards?

Hi Mike C, thanks for the reply. The guide was helpful, but still wouldn't work without a full restart. Even after the restart, I couldn't telnet to port 161, yet my SNMP tester worked. Happy days.
