Upgrade from M10JNP2SB

In 2020, I came looking for an alternative to your discontinued Workstation products.  Jose A. was very helpful in steering me to a M10JNP2SB with an E-2278G processor and an added sound card.  It has been very satisfactory, but now I would like to make a new machine providing a substantial(entirely unnecessary) upgrade in performance.  My preferences would be:

ATX 8x12 board format or something less than 19"

At least 8 SATA ports for 3 RAID1 arrays

current production

In the previous dialog, my email address was j.frederick@att.net.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

John Frederick

Hello, Frederick2.

Thank you for posting on the Intel Community Support forums.

I received your ticket regarding a possible upgrade for the JNP platform, and I will be reviewing this with you.

There is no substitute we can recommend for the JNP as none of the current systems are oriented toward that particular segment of the market, and you can use the Intel knowledge website (ARK) to review the available systems/boards and filter by certain specifications or requirements, but the best option may be to contact a distributor (or your preferred vendor) directly for server board recommendations:

- ARK: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/search/featurefilter.html?productType=77593.97077.32928.43730&3_NumSATAPorts-Min=8&0_StatusCodeText1=3,4

- Distributors: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/partner/showcase/partner-directory/distributor.html#sort=relevancy

If I can help you in any way, please let me know, but if that is not the case I will close this thread on May 30th.

Hello, Frederick2.

This post is to inform you about the thread closure.

I previously mentioned there is no substitute for the JNP platform as the current systems are not manufactured in similar form factors nor oriented toward that particular market, and recommended to contact your preferred vendor or distributor for other recommendations.

The thread will be closed right now, and it will no longer be monitored by Intel support, but if you require any type of assistance from Intel in the future, just open a new thread, or contact us using any of the available support methods:

Best regards,
