I have several of these that need a FW update to bypass an issue. How can I do this w/o an Intel chassis?

Thanks

At worst case, select the "other Chassis type" while updating the FRUSDR .

Still i would recommend you to check the compatibility and supported chassis.

Hello,

Which board are you using?

Long time ago, i made a /docs/DOC-3013 document on how to update the firmware. Refer to it and let us know if you have any questions.

All the best,

Kind Regards,

Aryan.

Hi Guys,

Thanks very much for the quick responses! I was using an HP and whitebox mobo (two systems with these cages in them) but I just realized I have an Intel SE7525RP2 inside an SC5275E chassis on the bench that does have the HSBP connector on the mobo. I assume the firmware only be upgraded through this port. While the chassis doesn't physically fit the cage, I can access the port from this motherboard possibly?

The ark page doesnt return results for the AXX6DRV3GEXP or the SE7525RP2.

I have a dos bootable cdrom with the firmware files copied to it ready to go if it would work with "Other" chassis type?

Thanks again!

Given the two big warnings posted at

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18308&lang=eng

regarding *not* using earlier motherboards to do the update, I don't think I'd feel comfortable using an SE7525RP2, which is even older than the 5000 series.
