Hi,
I just bought a new t7200 processor for my hp laptop. BIOS on my system is F.2E. As i installed the new processor, the system refused to start. lights come for power and HDD and in a matter of seconds laptop switches off. But when i placed my old processor again the laptop booted properly. I have checked FSB and Socket type are supported. Do i need to ugrade my BIOS?

saurabh,
The best thing to do would be to contact HP and see about T7200 processor support with your laptop. The manufacturer may have specific compatibility restrictions/requirements for your laptop model and the processor you want to use.
You can find specifics about the T7200 processor at the http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=27255 ARK | Your source for information on Intel® products website.
Regards,
John
