I have a HP Microserver with an Intel® Xeon® Processor E3-1260L inside. I have been trying to set up hardware acceleration. I run this on the latest OpenMediaVault. I want it to work with Jellyfin.
I installed the VA drivers.
sudo apt-get install i965-va-driver-shaders
But when I run
sudo vainfo
I get:
error: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set in the environment.
error: can't connect to X server!
libva info: VA-API version 1.4.0
libva info: va_getDriverName() returns -1
libva error: va_getDriverName() failed with unknown libva error,driver_name=(null)
vaInitialize failed with error code -1 (unknown libva error),exit
I tried the following:
export LIBVA_DRIVER_NAME=i965
export LIBVA_DRIVERS_PATH=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri
But this was to no avail.
What am I missing?
