Hello,
I recently installed Windows Server 2008 R2 for testing purposes but it's missing the Ethernet Controller driver and the driver that I've downloaded from http://ark.intel.com/products/52963/Intel-82579V-Gigabit-Ethernet-PHY Intel's database will not detect the card.
I had the same problem with Windows Server 2012 previously and I solved it by editing the e1c63x64.inf
I found the instructions http://www.ivobeerens.nl/2012/08/08/enable-the-intel-82579v-nic-in-windows-server-2012/ here
I tried the same thing on Win Server 2008 but it did not work. I'm wondering if I have to edit a different file or something and if so, which file would that be?
Thanks.
