I'm setting up a 'MS Windows Home Server' for a SOHO client. The server will have 2 tb of storage that I'd like to set up in a 'mirrored' raid configuration with very good performance as a server. Client runs Cad applications and needs to access large files with minimum degradation in network access speeds, but, only two users at any given time, so mass access not an issue. Because this is a home office server, my priorities are redundant/safe storage with ability to support future multimedia streaming capabilites (as are built into Windows Home Server).
My obvious question is, what mthrbrd, memory, processor combo for price/performance?
Thanks,
Dee White, Soho Computers
