Hi.

I have a controller card (rs2bl040) with 3 hdd 3to.

The 3 hdd are configured in RAID5.

I would like to add a fourth hdd to increase the capacity of the virtual disk.

At the time of reconstruction of the raid, the data be retained or deleted ?

I use only Intel Raid Web Console II because I can no longer access the BIOS Console.

If anyone can help me, thank you in advance.

Yes you can. This feature is called Online capacity expansion (OCE). For step-by-step instruction, check the http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-022358.htm Intel® RAID software user's guide, Page 122 (PDF page 134/196): Adding a Drive to a Virtual Disk

You'll need to manually extend or create new partition using the added space in your OS after OCE completes.
