I have 2 identical S2600WFT servers. There are differences in ipmitool fru print output for Product  Part Number,Product Version and Product Serial Number  and dmidecode  output for Version and Serial number between the 2 servers. The chassis SN is used to track changes on the server.  How do I fix this

Hello Joecastle73,

Thank you for joining the community,

I understand that are missing some details on the ipmitool fru print output. Can you please run the following commands:

  • ipmitool raw 0x30 0xD0 0x$HSBP 0x$drive 0x1
  •  ipmitool raw 0x30 0xD0 0x$HSBP 0x$drive 0x3

We have noticed that the BIOS version is currently System BIOS - 02.01.0013 we recommend you to update to the latest System BIOS - 02.01.0015 if the issue persists.

You can find the update here:

Important:

If you try upgrading directly from an older BIOS version to a new version but do not meet firmware requirements, the upgrade may fail. Please upgrade to version System BIOS - R02.01.0014 first.

Please let us know the outcome.

Best regards,
