Hi there,

I am trying to ascertain if the Intel Server Board S2600CP fitted with 2 Xeon E5-2603 processors is affected by the Intel Management Engine vvulnerability - SA-00086?

Also the same question for the S1200KP board fitted with an E3-1225 V2 CPU.

The article https://security-center.intel.com/advisory.aspx?intelid=intel-sa-00086&languageid=en-fr Intel® Product Security Center suggests that they aren't affected but other information on the net implies that the product list on that page is incomplete.

Can anyone advise?

Many Thanks

Richard

Hello RichardBurdon,

Thanks for joining the community.

As you correctly state these particular models are not affected by the Intel Management Engine vulnerability. Actually what is really affected are the processors itself but the fix is applied to the BIOS in the board so that's why some board models show up listed.

For the processors affected go to: https://security-center.intel.com/advisory.aspx?intelid=intel-sa-00086&languageid=en-fr https://security-center.intel.com/advisory.aspx?intelid=intel-sa-00086&languageid=en-fr

And for the available fix got to: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000026357/server-products.html?_ga=2.131571151.1954420935.1513297638-1829137013.1476322867 https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000026357/server-products.html?_ga=2.131571151.1954420935.1513297638-1829137013.1476322867

Hope this helps
