we are having some crashed on this motherboard. and the error is:

also the BMC shows the event log is enabled, but when trying to get again the sel i got:

I will start with, I suck at linux.....

The SELVIEW tool (which i can't seem to locate for this board.It should be on the resource CD). will give you a much better picture of what is occuring.

IPMITOOL does not report all the values that get logged which leaves you guesing.

So here is my guess,

18 | 11/16/2012 | 05:15:36 | Unknown # 0x85 | State Asserted --- Something stopped responding. could be ablut anything. Hence UNKNOWN,

2c | 11/16/2012 | 05:15:37 | Critical Interrupt # 0x07 | Bus Uncorrectable error | Asserted - System attempted to recover and can't. Blue screen (execpt that your in Linux)

I would try removing any add in cards and run far a bit to see if the error goes away.

If so, add the cards back until you start getting the error again.

Thanks a lot for your help. i managed to install the ipmiutil and now one of the errors seem more readable:

i will try to google for the new CRT BMC SMI Timeout # 85 SMI asserted 03 [41 0f ff]. as SELVIEW or the resource CD are not available for download.
