what speed increase using interleaved 2 DIMM vs. 1 DIMM

Theoretically, working in Dual Channel Memory mode doubles the memory access bandwidth. I wrote that this is theoretically only because not in all system the bandwidth is doubled. Using this mode doesn't however affects (increases) the performance . Please read the following links for more detailed explanations:

Thanks for your follow-up. I did read the articles that you attached, and the answer seems to be a ‘qualified’ YES – dual channel is faster… But there seems to be many factors, and the overall consensus seems to be that the speed increase depends mostly on the software running at the time. So I am just sticking with what I already gathered, that the dual channel memory will result in about 10% overall increase for our applications.
