I am trying to install Parallel Studio and the installer is complaining that Visual Studio is not installed. I do have Visual C++ 2008 Express installed.
Do I need to install the entire Studio even though I'm only interested in C++. Does it need to be the full version, or will the Express version suffice?

Hi,
The full product of any VS2005 or VS2008 or VS2010 is required.
See"Release Notes" 1.4 System Requirements
http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-parallel-studio-2011-release-notes/
As far as I know in any VS-Express version, you can still run Intels compilervia commmandline.
Maybe installation procedurehas meanwhile changed to use still full product of any Visual Studio.
