When trying to start XDK on Windows 7, I get the login error - "unknown user". The credentials are the same I use to the developer zone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

It is difficult to say why. Still you can check your firewall settings.

Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have a unified login between the developer zone and the XDK. We had hoped to have this in place earlier this year, but we are still waiting for some internal network changes to be made that will allow us to do this. Our goal is to unify these logins, but we are not able to at this time. Sorry for that difficulty.

Finally working inside the Intel XDK
XDK-what a great tool--!
Now about App Framework? is it Intel's stand-alone framework for HTML5?
I have 11 apps written with BBUI.js ( Blackberry's JavaScript/html5/css framework-no cordova ) also have same apps in JQM. what can App Framework give me?

App Framework is optimized for mobile devices, especially webviews, and fixes a lot of UI issues, especially on Android and a few on iOS and Windows Phone 8. You are not required to use App Framework; it is an open source UI library and is supported by Intel.
Your BBUI.js is probably a good library to continue using, as it has also been optimized for mobile (but I have no direct experience). However, despite the name, many people find JQM does not work well in a webview (embedded browser) environment. App Framework would be a good consideration as a replacement for JQM. You can use jQuery with App Framework, just make sure to follow the instructions on this page for using the App Framework UI library with the jQuery library: http://app-framework-software.intel.com/documentation.php#afui/afui_jquery
<script src="jquery.js"></script> <script src="jq.appframework.js"></script> <script src="appframework.ui.js"></script>
I believe there will be a change in the next version that combines the last two libraries into one, watch the github repo for details.

Its not the login details of software.intel ... actually you need to sign up for XDK too. So, sign up for XDK there itself and then login with those details.

Are you able to log into app center with your browser? Go here http://appcenter.html5tools-software.intel.com to confirm your userid and password. Note that the userid and password you use for this forum is not the same userid and password. Eventually they will be the same, but now they are different.

I do not understand what this means: "But I can login opened the application without opening it to open as administrator" my translation of "Pero puedo abri la aplicaciuon si la ejecuto como adminiistrador" comes out as "But I can opened the application if I run as administrator" -- which leads me to believe that you cannot run the XDK unless you are logged in as administrator. Is this correct?
Did you install the XDK into a location other than that suggested by the installer? If so, please reinstall into the standard location, which is a local user location.
Since you cannot log into the App Center, it sounds like the userid and password you are using with the XDK are different than those you registered with.

Press the 'Win' button and type 'Intel XDK'. From that result, create a shortcut on your desktop.
