*** Intel announced on May 11th, 2017 Itanium 9700 Series ( Kittson ) CPUs *** After more than 20 years of competition with RISC and CISC architectures the Explicitly Parallel Instruction Computing ( EPIC ) architecture is about to retire. It will be the last Itanium in EPIC line of CPUs.

A very cheap Intel Itanium and Itanium 2 server systems could be found on Ebay...
