Recording to file (.rssdk)

Hi,

I would like to record some videos and playback later for processing, but I'm observing a strange problem with 3D reconstruction.

When processing directly stream from the camera, the 3d information/model I can get from the camera is great. However, when I playback previously recorded file, I am getting 3D surface with a strange (probably quantization) error - there are visible steps on the surface, basically creating a type of contours with very sharp edges in the depth dimension (see picture). 

Is that a bug in the SDK?

what file type are you saving to?

There's the internal SDK format (RSSDK clip -> *.rssdk). It is file type offered by SDK and I can read it directly back using the SDK.
