I'm unable to locate the serial number for a copy of Intel Visual Fortran purchased about 2 yrs ago. Is there a way to recover it? Who do I contact?

The product was registered under my account I believe.

Hi,

I need to find the serial number for my Ifort license so I can renew it, but I work for a large company as a developer and do not have access to the original software box, receipts, or e-mails listed on Intel's website for finding the serial number.  My purchasing department is contacting me for the serial number and the person who installed the license has since retired.  I only have an original purchase order from Dell and they told me to contact Intel.

Is the serial number located in a file where my compiler is installed?  Where can I find the serial number or get help finding it?

Sincerely,

Dave

Dave,

You can find out the license being used with checking the debug log of ifort invokation. Set up the enviornment variable INTEL_LMD_DEBUG=1 and invoke ifort without parameters. This will produce a log containing the serial number of format SMSAxxxxxxxx. Please let me know this SMSAxxxxxxxx string (via "Send Author A Message") and I can you tell more details about the license.

Regards, Hubert.
