help with graphics card

i have a intel desktop dp35dp..can i put a separte graphics card in it.I bought a radeon hd 4670 and tried to put it in.Does not seem to work.any ideas

if its vista it wont work because vista only supports one graphics driver

on xp it should work but your bios would have to let you access both devices
