I have an mother board H370M-D3H with RAID 10 configured. I use 4 discs. But, I need more space. I need to know if I change the raid type from raid 10 to raid 5, the data will be lost. I have a full backup, but I don't want to reconfigure all permissions.

Hello pbalt1,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

In order to change the RAID 10 to RAID 5 it's necessary to delete the RAID 10 array and then reconfigure the available Disks to RAID 5 from scratch then with the valid backup you can restore your data.

Hello pbalt1,

I was looking into your case, we recommend to check with the system manufacturer of your system/Hard drives as well because they could have guidance in order to rebuild the RAID since you have to recreate it, make sure you have a back up of all your information as previously mentioned.
