Issue VROC + x299 + Samsung 970 PRO with and without standard key

Why we have situation like this:

1) without key I'm able to make a raid0 with 2xsamsung 970 PRO - it's working without any problem but it cannot boot

2) with key its not possible even make a raid0 setup

 

Do you have problems with software?? Missing devs?

 

Why it's possible on AMD platform (and it's for free) and Intel solution (paid) it's not woking??

 

When samsung 970 PRO will be officialy supported??

Why version 5.4 is not working on newest windows 10, and 5.3 is?

Hello dll_lld, Thank you for contacting Intel® Technical Support. As we understand, you need assistance with your Intel® Virtual RAID on CPU (Intel® VROC) with your Intel® X299 Chipset. If we infer correctly, please take into consideration the information below: • Based on the Intel® Virtual RAID on CPU (Intel® VROC) support on X299 article: -Does Intel VROC support third-party SSDs on the X299 platform? No. Intel VROC on X299 platforms supports Intel® SSDs only. For a full list of supported Intel SSDs, please see the Intel® VROC Configuration List. -What is the Intel VROC SKU supported on X299? The Intel VROC SKU supported on X299 is: Intel VROC-Intel SSD only SKU (VROCISSDMOD): RAID 0/1/5/10 support on Intel SSDs only. -I found RAID0 works without an Intel VROC HW key. But the product brief says I need a VROC HW key for RAID0. What should I do? An Intel VROC HW key is required to use RAID 0/1/5/10 for most SSDs. However, Intel VROC is also designed to provide RAID 0 for eight times Intel® SSDs without requiring an HW key. For instance, the Intel® DC P3608 SSD. For any other regular x4 SSDs, without an HW key, RAID0 may work, but isn't supported. In short, an Intel VROC HW key is required for official support for RAID0 with regular x4 SSDs. • To answer your questions: 1) Without key I'm able to make a raid0 with 2xsamsung 970 PRO - it's working without any problem but it cannot boot -To create a bootable NVMe RAID array you need VROC and as mentioned before your motherboard only support the usage of the Intel SSD only SKU (VROCISSDMOD) with Intel SSD 2) With key it’s not possible even make a raid0 setup -Since you are using a no supported key and third party SSDs this behavior is expected. 3) Do you have problems with software?? Missing devs? Why it's possible on AMD platform (and it's for free) and Intel solution (paid) it's not woking?? When samsung 970 PRO will be officialy supported?? -We do not have any report of problems with the software or missing drives. Since you are trying to run a configuration that is not supported by your motherboard and using drives that are not supported by VROC it is expected that the configuration may fail. For a full list of supported Intel SSDs, please see the Intel® VROC Configuration List. The list of supported hardware is always growing but we cannot provide you with a release date or a confirmation if this drive is going to be supported in the future. RSTe: Why version 5.4 is not working on newest windows 10, and 5.3 is? -We do not have any report of issues of RSTe with the latest version of Windows 10, we recommend you to use the version of RSTe that is available in your motherboard original equipment manufacturer (OEM) website since it is tested, validated and modified to work with your motherboard.
