Hi pelemag,

Thank you for contacting Intel support. Unfortunately, there is no "official" method provided by Intel to restore a VROC RAID volume. However, there is a potential workaround that may help. This involves connecting the same drive members of the RAID volume to the new system (ensuring that the drives are placed in the same slots as in the previous system). Additionally, it's essential that all hardware and software settings exactly match those of the original system.

The safest and most reliable approach would be to create a backup of your data first, then set up a new RAID volume from scratch in the new system. Once that is done, you can restore your data from the backup.

For data recovery, we would suggest you to check with the board manufacturer if any solution available or as a work around you can refer this link which lists third-party data recovery service providers and approach them if they have any solution.

Once again, we regret to inform that from Intel we do not have any data backup / recovery options available as RAID is designed for redundancy / fault tolerance purpose and it is not a back up solution.

Since there is not further scope of support we would be archiving this case from our end and please feel free to reach out to us should you need any further assistance on any other Intel products.

We appreciate your understanding!
