Computer: Gigabyte Z890 AI TOP with dual Thunderbolt 5 connectors. Windows 11
Enclosure: Western Digital / San Disk Professional G-RAID with Thunderbolt 3
- Connection is thunderbolt 5 to thunderbolt 3. When booting up the Thunderbolt 3 enclosure "Disk Manager / Disk Drives" displays the enclosure as "unknown device".
- Right click and selecting "scan for hardware changes" the enclosure is then displayed as "G-RAID with Thunderbolt".
- With this work-around the enclosure can be mounted and thunderbolt 3 speed is available.
Thunderbolt 5 is supposed to be backward compatible to thunderbolt 3, but in this case it is not.
Is there any way to solve this compatibility problem?
