Is there a 64 bit version of the latest firmware update?

The firmware update is an ISO download, so it's OS independent. You burn this to a blank disc and boot the computer from it in order to update the SSD. This loads its own operating system in which the update is run.

Just be aware that your storage controller usually has to be set to SATA legacy mode (aka "IDE mode", "IDE compatible", "AHCI: Disabled").
