Can't install XP on X25-V

Hello,

just bought a X25-V, and began installing Windows XP. Well, after the first boot during install, an error message appears (can't read it because it disappears fast) and the computer reboots.

How can I solve this?

Two more problems in the last few hours:

Managed to install Vista on the disk, it went fine. Then I ran Windows update. It started, installed about 50% of the updates, then the computer started rebooting. No matter how many times I tried updating Windows, it always rebooted after a few minutes.

Then, I thought of updating the firmware. I always got the "No Intel SSD installed" error message. And yes, it is installed.

Enabled AHCI in the BIOS, tried it all over again, and no joy....

So, any help on this before I return the SSD?

Nobody? Am I the first to run into these problems?

Look at Microsoft article # KB/922979. It will tell you how to install AHCI , after OS is installed, this does involve some registry editing , So if you do this read it 3 times do it right once.

Hey JonL,

I'm an Intel employee and on your behalf, we ran a few tests. Have you tried entering your BIOS during the XP install to boot in ATA mode? If you'd like to install the latest RST drivers with Windows XP, you'll need to use what's called the "F6" method. You can read more about it here:
