Hello NickPoore,

When it comes to the "ASSERT" error with these SSDs, means that the drive had a catastrophic failure and it needs to be replaced in warranty.

Have you checked the lights on the SSD?

Do you remember if this happened after a firmware upgrade or software change?

You can always contact our http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/contact-support.html# @22 support department in order to get further assistance with this.

Regards,
