I have a DC S3700 I bought from someone and it functioned well until just a few days ago when its capacity dropped to 8.4 MB and my computer wouldn't boot.
I connected it to a windows pc to see if the SSD toolbox software would help and the buttons were greyed out so I couldn't do a format or a firmware update.
I then downloaded the SSD Datacenter Tool to see that would help and I find that the drive serial number is "ASSERT_A368" and it has ancient firmware on it version 5DV10250.
ISDCT says "Selected drive is in a disable logical state." and I can't format the drive or update the firmware using ISDCT and I get the "disable logical state" error again.
Is there a way to fix this?
According to error you are getting with this SSD: "ASSERT_A368" disable logical state, we need to inform you we do not have a way to recover the SSD.
Also we would like to inform you about the warranty: "Intel warrants to the purchaser of the Product specified above in its original sealed packaging ("Original Purchaser") and to the purchaser of a computer system built by an Original Purchaser containing the Product ("Original System Customer")".
