Do I need SSD drivers?

CKara6

I'm using an Intel 660P 1tb SSD with Windows 10. I didn't install anything specific for the disk but everything seems to be working properly. Do I need to download & install drivers from Intel's web page? Would that be beneficial? Thank you.

You are ok, but there is a new driver here that resolves BSODs that you may want to install:

Take a backup first!

Thank you for the answer. Are you talking about "Client NVMe* Microsoft Windows* Drivers for Intel® SSDs"? If yes, which one on that page?

Hey, sorry for bothering you again. I followed your instructions and installed something called "Intel NVME Miniport and Filter Device Management." What is this? Is it some kind of driver? I couldn't find any information on Google.
