Does anyone know for SURE if these drivers allow you to run SSD's in RAID with support for TRIM? It seems as though it may not work.

Something I read on the XS forum...

I got a statement from Intel... "Intel® RST 9.6 supports TRIM in AHCI and pass through modes for RAID. A bug has been submitted to change the string that indicates TRIM is supported on RAID volumes (0,1,5,10). Intel is continuing to investigate the ability of providing TRIM support for all RAID volumes in a future release"

Apparently not...

Hello Rob,

Thank you for contacting Intel Technical Support.I have confirmed that TRIM is not supported for SSDs that are part of a RAID configuration. It is supported in AHCI mode and for pass-through drives (drives that are not part of a RAID config). At this time our development teams are not working on solutions that would offer TRIM for SSDs that are part of a RAID configuration. The information available on the Help Menu is incorrect. This has been escalated already and will be corrected shortly.More information about what the driver supports regarding TRIM is available here:http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/imsm/sb/CS-022304.htm http://www.intel.com/support/chipset.../CS-022304.htmFor your convenience, the Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager offers Top Technical Issues and FAQs at this link:http://support.intel.com/support/chipsets/imsm/ http://support.intel.com/support/chipsets/imsm/Which includes the latest technical articles, FAQs, and support information for this product.Sincerely,Allan J.Intel Technical Support
