Garbage collection in latest X25-M G2 firmware

Hello,

I just got an X25-M G2 160gb drive and was wondering if the latest firmware (2CV102HD) has garbage collection. I plan to use the drive in a mac, so TRIM in and of itself isn't going to be enough for me. Anyone know the answer?

Would a zeroing erase using disk utility return performance to the drive if done periodically? Thanks

Any reason then why enabling trim on mac osx via this

slows down read speads by 20MBps ?

It does infact help with writes speeds.. about 50MBps
