HD password in Bios stay "Not installed"

Hello,

I use a SSD 520 series with a MB DQ77MK .

When I set a Hard Disk Drive password in the bios (0056), the status stay "not installed". I make the same with User password and I get "installed".

I buy a platform Vpro only for this. Does I miss something ?

Regards, Vanilla.

Hi Vanilla,

You might try BIOS 0057. Also, if you are using the graphical BIOS interface try switching to the 'classic' mode.

Thanks.

Hello Ken,

Now I have version 0057 and nothing new. I do not install visual bios, always classic mode.

Regards, Vanilla.

Hi Vanilla,

I finally have a 77MK board to test with. I'll try to recreate this tomorrow. I'll let you know what I find.

Hi Vanilla,

I was able to set a HDD password on my system, but it only works if you go into BIOS immediately after a cold boot. Trying to set the password after a Restart from Windows does not work. Trying to set the password after a Shutdown from Windows does work.

I will report this behavior to our BIOS team.

Let me know if you continue to have problems.
