Hello and help. I can not reset the forgotten password to SSD (password HIGH level). Information on the disk is not needed.

- Notebook Acer Extensa 5220,

- SSD (120Gb) - Intel SSDSA2M120G2GS, ISN: BTPO103400P3120QGN

After 3 incorrect entries, the error code is 05243.

I tried to find a master password on bios-pw.org, it does not work.

What can I do?

Can there be software for cleaning or reflashing firmware?

Hello Visk,

Thanks for posting. We understand that you're looking for a master password for an Intel® SSD X25-M Series.

As mentioned by Al_Hill in one of his posts, we don't have a master password for SSDs. This is configured by users on the system BIOS to protect their data, offering a master password would represent a security breach.

We offer http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/solid-state-drives/000017245.html tools for firmware update, but they can't be used for resetting or cleaning the firmware. It is also important to point that updating the firmware would not remove an ATA password,

At this point, we recommend to https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/oems.html contact your system OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) for further assistance.

Best regards,

Eugenio F.
