Intel 320 120GB slower than Intel X-25M 80GB G2 ?

Hi,

I recenlty bought an Intel 320 SSD with 120GB capacity. I already had an Intel X-25M G2 80GB Postville SSD drive with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit installed on it. I used the Intel Data Migration tool (powered by Acronis) and I cloned them.

Although my previous SSD (the 80GB one) had a Windows 7 score of 7.8 points, my new one (which I think should be faster) is slower, rating 7.6 on Windows 7 Rate Assesment.

And my question of course is ... WHY.. ?

I bought this SSD cause its faster right?...

Thank you in advance.

Another option is to run "winstat" on command line. This program is the basis of WEI.

For example, you can check how Windows is benchmarking your C: disk with: "winsat disk -drive c"

I run winsat and these are the results. Your opinion?

I have to tell you again that my system is cloned via Intel SSD Migation tool. So the "system" partition (which it was 100MB) now is 150MB. I dont know if it has to do with my "problem". Overall the system is very responsive and fast ofcourse. My motherboard is an Asus Maximus Formula X38 intel chipset.

Nothing looks odd.... Can you run winstat for the X-25M? It just be a difference on how MS weights the values.

Hmmm... I erased my Intel 80GB X-25M so I cannot run winsat to it... .Sorry.

But let's say that I am very sattisfied with the Intel 320 120GB after all.

Thank you guys for your support!
