Intel 600p firmware update for linux?

GMill7

Hi

Any way to find out if there will be a fix for the issue below with the 600P?

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1402533 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1402533

I waited to May but the recent firmware update didn't include the 600P; stayed at v109C

Starting to think I should be asking for a refund

Geoffrey

29 May

Intel have released Firmware Update Tool v2.2.1. This has revised firmware v121C for the 600P.

There is a positive review on the RedHat bugzilla forum https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1402533 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1402533 Will test it myself later this week.

Looking very hopeful

Thank you Intel

PS: Intel states that Linux* is not supported on N600P

Hello Geoffrey.Mills,

Looks like you beat us to the punch.Due to the nature of the Linux* OS it may take us a while before it shows up as officially supported for this drive. This is just a big step in the right direction. We look forward to finding out things go once you get to try the new firmware out yourself.Best regards,Carlos A.

Hi Intel

Updated my Intel 600P to the latest firmware this weekend and moved a couple of Centos 7 VMs back onto it. Also created a new Centos 7 VM, which worked and is still running. Been rebooting these daily and so far all looking good..

Thank you for resolving this
