Intel 600p firmware update for linux?

Hi

Any way to find out if there will be a fix for the issue below with the 600P?

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1402533 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1402533

I waited to May but the recent firmware update didn't include the 600P; stayed at v109C

Starting to think I should be asking for a refund

Geoffrey

Hello Geoffrey.Mills,

We have been working (or rebooting) to reproduce the corruption so that we may isolate the issue. As soon as we have any updates or progress we'll let you know.Best regards,Carlos A.

Hi Carlos

I suspect you have improved the issue. The new Centos VM I made on the 600P is still running fine.

The Centos VM that I moved to the 600P that corrupted quickly was running Graylog Server (ELK).

FWIW - load the VM up, a performance benchtest that generates runs file tests in different size files might do it.

And reboot daily to see if it is corrupt

Regards

Geoffrey

Hello Geoffrey.Mills,

Thank you for the suggestions. Hope you don't think that we forgot about you. We're currently doing a lot of testing and debugging, I don't get to be a part of all of it, but I do get some updates from our engineers as they go along. As soon as we have something more substancial, we will let you know.Best regards,Carlos A.

Hello Geoffrey.Mills,

Have you had any repeats of this issue? We have been unable to reproduce off a clean installation so far.Best regards,Carlos A.

Hi

Yes, I have been checking a Centos 7 VM andit is still working fine. But it took a long time for Centos 6 VMs to corrupt on the older firmware.

I will migrate a Graylog server back over to the 600P today, that usually dies within a week. I will run a xfs_repair on it first as well, to ensure nothing is lurking. The RedHat Bugzilla has had recent updates:
