Hello Exposed,

We understand that you have updated the firmware on the SSD and now the write speed is not even average. For this situation, we will need you to please provide the following information:

-What is the operating system you have installed?

-Is this your boot drive or storage drive?

-What tool are you using to measure the speed?

-In case of using Windows* as operating system, could you please share the SMART details from the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26837/Intel-Solid-State-Drive-Toolbox Intel® Solid-State Drive Toolbox (Use the export button and attach the file here)

We'll be waiting for your response.

Regards,

Hello Exposed,

Thanks for the information provided.

Now that we know the software you are using, could you please share with us a screenshot of the results?

We will also test here with one of our drives and if it is possible as well, could you try using https://osdn.net/projects/crystaldiskinfo/downloads/65980/CrystalDiskInfo7_0_5Shizuku.exe/ Crystal Disk Mark?

Hi Exposed,

We are also running tests on the drives we have before and after the firmware update. We'll keep you posted here once we get some results.

Hello Exposed, Zathyrio and Jlegas,

We were running tests with one of our drives, we have the 256MB version and our tests were normal. Please find below the pictures before the update and after the update. We also tested the drive as a boot drive and as a storage.

We would like to gather all the possible information for each one, so please go to https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows- this link and attach the log.

Hi Exposed,

The tests we ran with Crystal Disk Mark* are normal, the situation with slow speed seems to be only presented with AS SSD*, that it shows really different numbers. For some reason, that particular program shows way different than Crystal Disk Mark*.

We would like to keep researching about this situation and engage additional resources to help you all.

Please provide the logs we requested on the previous post, thanks.

Hello Exposed,

We would like you to please check and test your SSD with the tool that was actually validated from Intel, the tool is IOmeter*. You can download it https://sourceforge.net/projects/iometer/files/iometer-stable/1.1.0/iometer-1.1.0-win64.x86_64-bin.z... here.

We know it is not very simple to setup, but https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/ssdc/hpssd/ssd-750/sb/intel_ssd_750_series... here is a guide (From Page 6) that shows you, step by step, how to set it up.

Regarding Crystal Disk Mark*, this tool was not validated, but we have seen score pretty close at what is advertised by us.

Let us know if you can run the test and share the two results. (One is for sequential read and the other one for sequential write)

Sorry for the late response, been busy. Can I just do the write test or do I need to do all of them?

Hello Exposed,

Thanks for the reply. You can basically just go and do the writes test, at the end it seems that is the test you really need to measure.

Please let us know if you need assistance and making sure to follow the instructions to properly set up the test.

Hello Exposed,

We have been trying to reproduce the situation with no luck, in our disk, it runs fine and even better after the firmware update.

Since we have not been to reproduce this, is there any way for you to reload the operating system? We believe there is an issue with the native NVMe* driver from Microsoft*, so, if you can try this, we can discard the operating system as the culprit.

Hey, could you please post your results and your system specs? It would be interesting to see how yours runs better.

Hi,

After a month of 'hard work',your conclusion is 'even better after update'.Are you kidding?

How you explain the file '600p - Storage BeforeFW.JPG' and '600p - Storage AfterFW.JPG' you uploaded? Before update, the seq write spend is 558MB/s,after is 179MB/s.As like as an apple is to an oyster.
