Intel P4500 U.2 SSD slow PCIe x1

Hi,

I have an Intel P4500 U.2 SSD, since last firmware update the drive has slowed down to PCIe x1 instead of x3.

The drive has no errors, it just the speed that is slow.

any command I need to run in isdct to fix this?

Regards,

Shawn

Hi Diego V,

I change PCIe slot I get that report PCIe 3 x4 but speed is not there with Normal Intel NVME driver.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27517/Datacenter-NVMe-Microsoft-Windows-Drivers-for-Intel-... Datacenter NVMe* Microsoft Windows* Drivers for Intel® SSDs

Version 4.0.0.1007 of the Intel® SSD Data Center Family for NVMe* drivers.

with the above driver speed was only 1000 MB/s read 300 MB/s Write.

so I install Intel NVME Driver from RSTe it works better speed is now.

Shawn

Hi Shawn,

Thank you for the information. If I understood you well, the drive achieves its normal performance when the RST driver is used rather than the regular NVMe* driver I mentioned at the beginning, right?According to the information from Crystal Disk Mark, the results are the expected ones according to the following site: https://ark.intel.com/products/99030/Intel-SSD-DC-P4500-Series-1_0TB-2_5in-PCIe-3_1-x4-3D1-TLC?q=SSD...Unless I'm missing something else, it seems that the drive is working fine now, correct? You can continue using those drivers as you are getting the expected performance of the drive. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.Have a nice day.Regards,Diego V.

Hi Diego V,

I think there might be some sort conflict between HGST PCIe SN260 and Intel P4500 U.2 when using Intel NVME driver. look like the RSTE driver from this pack stops the conflict.

Shawn.
