Intel RAID0, TRIM and X25-M SSD Again :)

Can find answer for a long time....[

2x 80Gb X25-M [Raid0] VS 1x 160Gb X25-M

on Intel S5520SC motherboard ICH10R ESRT-2 Raid Controller(software)?

What will be faster(Write/ 4k operations/ Access time)? What are the disadvantages of raid0? Will TRIM work on Raid0 for me?

The issue is not really fragmentation (as occurs with hdd) it is degradation. Degradation is explained here:

The only option to prevent degradation (in a raid config) is to run a secure erase on each drive in the array using either hdderase or the new Intel toolbox. This will wipe all data and set the drives back to factory condition. If you save an image of the drive before you wipe it and then reinstall it after you have secure erased the drive you will be back to optimised performance in no time.

If you are not always writing heavily you won't need to do it very often.
