Hello

I have a very simple question.

Can I install Windows XP in the IDE or AHCI mode on the Intel SSD 540s ?

It will work on 540s ???

My motherboard Asus P8Z68 Deluxe has an integrated Intel SATA III / 6Gb controller.

I am currently using the Intel SSD 320 160 Gb and it works well, but I would like to move to a higher speed.

I tested SSD Kingston HyperX savage and its unfortunately incompatible with windows XP.

Windows XP is still my favorite.

thank you for any answer

Hello

This is not the answer, but the excuse.

This isnt an incompatibility just about the correct bootloader.

A single purpose thing ? !!!!

Its necessary to accurately declare it !!!!! Compatibility only one OS )))))

The true is product already nobody buy.

I am not going to debate the issue. XP is not supported. Period.

How many cell phones have you purchased or upgrade in the past 15 years? It is time for you to get past XP.

I am no longer following this thread.

Intel SATA III controller not supporting Intel SSD SATA III

Yes, its time to return Intel disc to the dealer. I buy the competition.

Do you interpret Intel official position ?

Hello Relon,

The problem is that Windows XP* doesn't have native SATA support. We don't provide Windows XP* drivers as they're embedded on most recent operating systems. We recommend checking with your motherboard manufacturer for the availability of these files.Best regards,Eugenio F.
