Intel SSD Optimizer failed - XM25-M 80Gb in XP Pro SP3

I ran the Full Diagnostic Scan and the SSD checks out fine.

However, when I ran the SSD Optimizer, it turned blue to red and status indicates the process has failed.

I am on Toolbox version 1.3.0.000

Windows XP any verison (except XP 64 bit), has a known problem SSD drives, SD cards in NTFS file format. Thats why you can not format an SD Card to NTFS in XP. ONLY FAT 32

I format my stuff on a Vista or 7 system then use it in XP.

I'm guessing this is one way Microsoft's is making us buy a new OS. (lol)

Unless we all complain!!!!!! Microsoft won't make a hot fix

Is this really true, Intel?

I still await the solution to this problem. I am still not giving up on my XM25 just yet.

I read about this on several forums even Dells and Viliv.

Some just format the SSD in Fat32 and some bought XP 64bit which seems to have no problems.

32-bit windows xp pro sp3 formats ssd's to ntfs just fine. i've done it many times.
