Intel Series 730 SSD

Jump to solution

!Intel Series 730 SSD, I need to know if I can use the Data Migration software that came with my 240G drive to clone my 480G drive? The first one came with software and cables, on the second purchase (480) I did not buy the cables or software. My son told me that the software was only to be used once. The second drive is to clone my wife's computer. I need some expert advice please. Old guy here, 70yrs +

Hello JatMat,

Yes, you can use the Intel® Data Migration Software to migrate the information on an Intel® SSD or HDD to another Intel® SSD as long as the size of data on the source does not exceed the space on the recipient. If you have the software already installed on your computer and are already familiar with it, please go ahead and use it. If not, you can download it from this link: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19324/Intel-Data-Migration-Software Intel® Download Center

There isn't any limitation on the number of times you can use the software. However, it is highly recommended that you use the recipient SSD connected via SATA port directly. If you prefer to have one of our technical support agent to guide you through to make this procedure even easier for you, please call at this number 916 377 7000 if you are located in the United States.
