Paragon Alignment Tool (PAT)

Yesterday, I downloaded the Paragon SSD Alignment Tool and whitepaper from their website http://www.paragon-software.com/business/partition-alignment/ http://www.paragon-software.com/business/partition-alignment/ . Yesterday it was free today they charge for the PAT. After cloning my Intel X25-M Mainstream SSDSA2M160G2GC for backup I ran the PAT. No problems encountered. Ran Intel SSD Management Tool then AS SDD benchmark http://www.alex-is.de/PHP/fusion/news.php http://www.alex-is.de/PHP/fusion/news.php. Small performance improvement.

Don't skip taking a backup before trying anying like PAT.

I ran the tool yesterday, I though my sys was running good , but when I ran the tool it said I was 12% off, so I let it do it's thing and I picked a pretty good increase in the read writes, Using ATTO before running my XM-25 G2 160 SSD , Was at 107878 write 258819 read , now after running the tool i'm at 114025 write and 269898 read, pretty good increse.

Beware of using PAT if your windows system drive is other than C!

Mine was 😧 and after running the aligment tool the system wouldn't boot up. I believe it misconfigured the MBR or/and the windows registry. I have spent the whole day to repair this mess.

Now the drive is correctly aligned but I haven't noticed any speed improvement.
