Hi Rwortman,

We understand that you are having issues installing the Intel® SSD Toolbox.

We recommend you to follow the next steps:

1.Make sure you have the latest installer for the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27130/Intel-Solid-State-Drive-Toolbox Intel® SSD Toolbox.

2. Right click on the Intel® SSD Toolbox installer and select the option that says"Troubleshoot Compatibility".

3.Select the option that says "Try recommended settings". If that option does not work please try with the option that says"Troubleshoot Program".

In case the situation remains, please provide us with the logs file called "IntelSSDToolbox.log" located here: C:\Intel\logs.

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Regards,

Junior M.

That didn't help. When I followed your instructions it seemed to think I was running XP and I get an unsupported version error. Strange. Here is the logfile.

Hi Rwortman,

We suggest you try to perform the installation on Safe Mode.

If that does not work, we suggest you perform the installation with previous versions of the Intel® SSD Toolbox. Please try them in the following order:

1. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26492/Intel-Solid-State-Drive-Toolbox Intel® Solid State Drive Toolbox Version: 3.4.1

2.https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26574/Intel-Solid-State-Drive-Toolbox Intel® Solid State Drive Toolbox Version: 3.4.3

3. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26776/Intel-Solid-State-Drive-Toolbox Intel® Solid State Drive Toolbox Version: 3.4.5

4. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26837/Intel-Solid-State-Drive-Toolbox Intel® Solid State Drive Toolbox Version: 3.4.6

Tried safe mode installation. Got wrong OS errors. Forced it to run in Win 8 compatibility mode and it installed. Ran it and tried to update SSD firmware. Got another error. Rebooted, tried again, got the same error. The firmware update process encountered an error (10/53) I guess I will try the boot version of the firmware installer later. I am not currently having a problem. Just wanted to update to latest stuff.

Hi Rwortman,

Thanks for the update. Since you are not able to update the firmware via Intel® SSD Toolbox, we recommend you to follow the next steps in order to update the firmware of your SSD:

1- Go to https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26491/Intel-SSD-Firmware-Update-Tool?product=80097

2- Download the issdfut_2.2.3.iso

3- Go to https://rufus.akeo.ie/ and download Rufus.

4- Connect an empty USB flash drive to the PC.

5- Open Rufus and change only the options "Device" and select your USB. Then go to ISO image, click on search and select the issdfut_2.0.15.iso you previously downloaded.

6- Go to your BIOS -> Boot -> Boot priority -> select the "USB" as primary.

7- Re-boot your PC. It should enter the firmware update tool for your SSD.

8- Update the firmware and then boot Windows*.

9- If it does not boot the "USB" or it gives you an error, please go to BIOS and change the boot mode to "legacy only". Then try again.
