Hello WShih8,

Thank you for your reply.

To answer your questions:

-How to read current transmit/receive thru-put rate?

R/ Please follow the steps in the following articles:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000034535.html

https://itpeernetwork.intel.com/how-to-benchmark-ssds-with-fio-visualizer/

These articles include information on how to benchmark SSDs with FIO Visualizer.

The only difference will be to use the Intel® Memory and Storage Tool CLI (Command-Line Interface) https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/30059?v=t instead of the Intel DCT.

Please follow the steps and the commands available in the User Guide (https://downloadmirror.intel.com/30059/eng/Intel_Memory_And_Storage_Tool_CLI_User%20Guide-Public-342...) section 3.2.5 to prepare the SSD:

delete [-help|-h] [-force|-f] [-output|-o (text|nvmxml|json)] –intelssd

(Index|SerialNumber)

- does the temperature from SMART that it's only controller status or included NAND flash ic

R/ Based on the article Intel® SSD Data Center Family SMART Attributes (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000023512/memory-and-storage/data-center-ss...)

In the Intel® Solid State Drive Data Center for SATA SMART Attributes (PDF) https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/solid-state-drives/Intel_SSD_Smart_Attrib_..., you can find the following description of the BEh and the C2h SMART values:

*BEh Case Temperature

Reports the SSD case temperature. Same values as reported in the

attribute C2h.

Raw value suggests 100 - case temperature in C degrees.

*C2h Temperature

The Device Internal Temperature: Reports the internal temperature of the SSD. The temperature reading is the value directly from the printed circuit board (PCB) sensor without offset.

Hi Josh,

how to download detail spec?

because our thermal team need more detail for each component temperature limit (T-junction) and we need to check every component is pass or over de-rating requirement.

The critical part be included below:

1. ASIC (Controller) / NAND

2. DRAM chipset

3. PMIC/Inductors/Regulators

Hi Josh,

Are there no document descriptors for that information?

how to guarantee the testing is ok for this SSD (S4510)?

Did we read from the SSD controller temperature below 70°C, and then all components passed the requirements?
