The intel 750 ssd 1.2TB is very slowly in the Ubuntu 16.04 system

I use the ubuntu 16.04, and it can identify the nvme ssd. But the reading data speed is about 500MB/s for the 750 ssd, and the writing data speed is about 200MB/s. Why is this?

Hello hollower,

Drive performance depends on different factors. The advertised values can be found in page 8 of the Intel® SSD 750 Series Product Specification: http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-specifications/ssd-750-spec.pdfTo obtain optimal performance, make sure that the SSD is connected to a PCIe* Gen3 x4 connector and that your PC is fully compatible with NVMe drives. We also recommend to use the update Firmware version for your SSD: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/86741/Intel-SSD-750-Series-1-2TB-2-5in-PCIe-3-0-20nm-MLC-The way you use to obtain performance results is very important. The SSD 750 takes advantage of multiple data threads and queueing to improve the performance, also, the advertised performance is obtained using standard methods like preconditioning, transfer size, type of data, etc. We do not have documentation that supports performance testing in Linux enviroments, however, you can check the following document for reference using Windows* and Iometer*: http://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/ssdc/hpssd/ssd-750/sb/intel_ssd_750_series_...For additional assistance, we will need the details about your computer (model, PCIe slot, CPU, SSD firmware, etc.), also the way you are using to obtain the performance data.
