The ordering information for the SSD 750 references two different part numbers (SSDPE2MW012T4X1 and SSDPE2MW012T4M2) but it is not clear what distinguishes these items. What is the difference?

Hello Aenagy,

We understand you'd like to know the differences between the two SKUs for the Intel® SSD 750 series. For you to be aware the product code: SSDPE2MW012T4M2 is the one that includes the U.2 to M.2 cable, while the other code: SSDPE2MW012T4X1 includes the old U.2 cable.Hope this information is useful, in any case, feel free to ask us any other doubts.Regards,Nestor C

Does this mean that the connector on the HDD is U.2 for both kits?

Hi Aenagy,

The cable that was included before is an SFF-8639 connector, you can take a look http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/solid-state-drives/consumer-ssds/000005797.html here for a picture. Now, the cable we used to send required your motherboard to accept the SFF 8643, mini-SAS HD connector. Some manufacturers also included a hyper kit, so you could install it properly. For now, the cable that it is included is http://click.intel.com/u-2-to-m-2-ssd-cable-replacement-u-2-to-m-2-cable-for-intelr-ssd-750-series.h... this oneRegards,Nestor C
